This is an amazing piece of driftwood - all we did was shape the head and beak and the rest was gracefully carved by Nature - years of sun, sand, surf and wind.
The driftwood was collected on the Fort Popham beach in mid-coast Maine near our studio. She is mounted on another piece of driftwood, left just as we found it. Lots of character between these 2 pieces!
The rustic folk art shorebird stands about 14 inches tall and 18 inches from beak to tail.
