Made from shorebird feathers and driftwood we collect along the Popham beach during the molting season. Maine is home to many types of shorebirds and as new feathers grow and change colors, the old one are left on the sandy beach.
We gather the most beautiful feathers and attach them to a piece of driftwood. The end result is a beautiful 'wand'. Each one is unique with a different variety of feathers in various shades of black, white, gray, tan, beige and brown.
