Ospreys are a common shore bird in Maine. They hover about 100 feet above the shoreline and then suddenly fold their wings and dive into the water to catch fish which they bring back to their nest to feed their young. Early spring is a fun time to watch these beautiful birds hunt.
Our folk art Osprey is made from recycled wood and mounted on a piece of flat driftwood we gathered on the Popham Beach. At the base of the driftwood is a small mackerel (made from wood), one of the Osprey's favorite catches.
The piece comes ready to hang and shipping is included.
